VOTE FOR DR. PAM ON THE AUGUST 4TH PRIMARY BALLOT!!

I’m Dr. Pam Kohlmeier, and I am asking for your support to become our next Washington State Representative for the 3rd LD —to serve ALL people with compassion, understanding, and action. My husband, Dr. Stephen Thew, and I raised our family right here in Spokane, and this community has shaped who I am.

As a physician, I cared for families facing food insecurity, unstable housing, and limited access to healthcare —barriers that make it difficult to live healthy, stable lives. Through my work with graduate students at Eastern Washington University, I emphasized the importance of addressing these challenges at their source with compassion while also reducing long-term costs for our community.

As a graduate of Gonzaga Law School (go Zags!), I am committed to fairness and justice for all —values instilled in me by my professors and strengthened through my professional experience. To me, justice includes economic justice. I will use my background in health policy and law to fight to expand healthcare access and behavioral health and addiction services, and improve affordability for housing, healthcare, and essentials.

Many in our community are experiencing grief. Our family is too.

Many are grieving a loss of honor for our democracy, a job, a loved one. Grief is hard, and I am committed to helping our community begin to heal. Community service —with our time and treasure—helps our community heal. Even during hard times, and these are hard times, I remain committed to servant-leadership.

Together we can champion state policies that help stabilize affordability and health —and inspire hope. 

I’m running to be our next state representative as a servant leader—someone who puts people first and works to ensure every neighbor has the opportunity to be safe, healthy, and supported. Because when even one family is struggling, it impacts us all. Together, we can build a stronger, more caring Spokane where everyone has the ability to thrive. I am asking for your support on the primary ballot which will be mailed mid-July and due on August 4th.
